Squishy
Squishies are the slow-rising foam and squeeze toys that everyone wants to poke, squeeze and collect. Think chubby dumplings with happy faces, little food squishies, round animals, NeeDoh-style stress balls and pastel fantasy shapes. Our squishy coloring pages capture that soft, bouncy look with thick, rounded outlines and simple shapes that are easy to fill in.
Younger kids can start with a single squishy on the page, while older kids and adults can pick busier scenes with several squishies together and add patterns, shading and sparkles. Pastel colors work beautifully, but bright neon squishies look just as fun. Note that these are squishies in general; for the plush characters with names, take a look at our Squishmallows category.
Did you know the first squishies came from Japan, where they were handed out as little freebies on key chains and phones? Give your paper squishy that soft look by starting with light pastels and shading the edges slightly darker. Leave a tiny white spot uncolored and it looks extra shiny.
