A hedgehog has around 5,000 to 7,000 spines on its back. When it feels scared it rolls into a tight, prickly ball. Hedgehogs come out at dusk to hunt beetles, worms and snails, and in autumn they build a nest of leaves to hibernate through the winter. Baby hedgehogs are called hoglets. Our hedgehog coloring pages show hoglets, hedgehogs carrying apples and mushrooms, hedgehogs in a pile of autumn leaves and funny cartoon hedgehogs. Color the spines brown and beige and give the leaves warm autumn colors.
