Landscapes
Our landscape coloring pages are complete scenes rather than single objects. Two mountains with a sun rising between them, a winding road through rice fields, a beach with palm trees and a sailboat, a waterfall tumbling into the jungle or a quiet village beside a river: every page has a foreground, a middle and a background to explore.
Simpler scenes with big shapes suit younger children, while detailed views with terraces, forests and reflections in a lake are perfect for older kids and adults who enjoy a calm coloring moment.
A landscape is all about depth. Color the background lightly, with soft blues and purples for distant mountains, and use stronger, warmer colors up front. That is the same trick painters use to make a view look far away. Try a sunset sky that fades from yellow to orange and pink, make a rice field bright green in the wet season or golden at harvest time, and don't forget the reflection of the mountains in the water.
