Moana is the daughter of Chief Tui and Sina. Gramma Tala is the grandma of Moana. Tala is the keeper of the ancient stories on the island Motonui. She is also referred to as the "village crazy lady". Moana has Hei Hei, the rooster and Pua a cute pot-belly pet pig as her friends. Moana loves the sea and traveling. When her island is in danger Moana journeys across the sea on her boat to save the world. She gets help from the shape-shifting demigod Maui.
