A kitten is a young cat and has this name until he or she is about 6 months old. The kittens in our coloring pages are really super cute. A nickname for a kitten is "kitty". Kittens often have many siblings. A litter usually has 3 to 7 kittens. They are born deaf and blind. After a week or two, hearing and sight will begin to develop and the kittens begin to play. After about 8 weeks, the kitten may leave the litter for a new family. All kittens are born with their eyes closed, and when they open after one to two weeks they are blue at first. Use short, soft pencil strokes in the direction of the fur to make your kitten look fluffy.
